About The Artist

"I can't make art unless I feel love for myself. That is the journey.  Self-love and open acceptance of the creative process - those allow me to commit blindly, in faith, sometimes to twenty layers for one work, knowing the finished piece will emerge.  Or, they allow me to evolve into bolder colors, fewer layers, more bald exposure of a few raw decisions.  The expression on paper is always a gift I can't quite take full credit for.  I'm swimming in a larger pool of creativity and generosity that I believe is there for many, not just me." - Amy

Amy is a collage artist and singer with Appalachian roots.  Born in the steel town of Wheeling, West Virginia, with a voice compared to Joan Baez and Natalie Merchant, she has embraced the intuitive art of collage since 2005.  The colors of Chagall currently inspire her work.  Lately, on most days in her studio, the landscape is her inescapable draw.

Today, Amy lives in France with her husband and four cats.  You can find her creating collage at her home studio, singing as she goes.
